This section outlines Byte Technology’s policies and procedures for billing, Web site maintenance and privacy. Any comments or questions regarding policies may be directed to info@byte-technology.com.
To make the site maintenance process as streamlined as possible for Byte Technology's clients, Byte Technology uses an online submission form. Using this form ensures that the proper information is obtained to effectively update a site. In the event that you are unable to use the online form, submit your request via e-mail to support@byte-technology.com including all of the details required by the form. File attachments must be less than 10MB total.
The current billing rate for time spent is $125 per hour, pro-rated into 15-minute increments. The minimum charge for service is 15 minutes equaling $31.25.
General maintenance is acted upon within three business days. If Web maintenance is received with a priority (same or next business day) or express (two business days) timeline, an additional fee of $50 (priority) or $25 (express) will be added to the total cost of maintenance. When submitting a maintenance request, the client agrees to pay the cost associated with the time to complete the maintenance plus any additional fees or expenses.
For clients with a special project or work order, prices are quoted on an individual basis and approved by the client before any charges are incurred. All billing is Net 30. All invoices are e-mailed to clients at the e-mail address on file with their account setup.
As a security policy Byte Technology does not retain client credit card information for billing or any other purposes.
Upon default of payment responsibilities Web maintenance, domain renewals and hosting renewals will be halted until any overdue balance is cleared. A balance is considered overdue if payment is not received by the due date posted on the invoice. Byte Technology may not be held responsible or accountable for: invoices not received by the client due to client-side email errors or barriers such as spam blockers or firewalls, opportunities or services lost to a client due to the halting of maintenance requests or domain/host renewals for non-payment, or a client’s domain being lost due to missed renewal opportunity because of client’s non-payment of account balance. Overdue invoices are assessed a one-time late fee of $25.00 per invoice.
Byte Technology respects our clients’ information as personal and private. All information, including company, email, credit card numbers, account login information will be solely for the our project engagements and not shared with external vendors with the express permission of our clients.
Byte Technology will occasionally send out e-newsletters to our colleagues, clients and vendors. It is not a policy of Byte Technology to send unsolicited emails; all users can unsubscribe from our newsletters at any time. Also, it is Byte Technology’s policy to prohibit the sale or dissemination of personal information to third party companies, and to respect all non-disclosure agreements to protect client information.
